Starbucks Closing 600 Stores

I saw on the news about two weeks ago that Starbucks would be closing roughly 600 stores. This was upsetting to say the least because I am a die hard Starbucks girl. To make matters worse, I found out one of the Starbucks across the street from where I work at is closing. Horrible! Granted, this store is particularly hard to get to because of the traffic but still, a Starbucks closing is like someone I love moving away. I will miss them. There is another store about ten minutes from where I work at that is my favorite one to go to. The people are always so nice and chatty. If this one closes, I will be crushed! I may have to call in sick and find another one to go to.
I have to admit, I have cut down on the amount of lattes I am getting from Starbucks as it is hard to justify spending $4.27 for one large cup of coffee. That is a little over a gallon of gas for me. I also do love the smaller individual owned stores that you find popping up as an alternative to some of the larger chain coffee places. I have found a few close to where I live that are pretty competitive with Starbucks in taste and are cheaper for a latte or cup of coffee. Possibly some of these smaller stores may see some more business come their way. Always someone profiting from someone else's loss.
